美증시, 크리스마스 이브에도 하락세로 우울한 출발

【뉴욕=AP/뉴시스】유세진 기자 = 뉴욕 증시는 크리스마스 이브인 24일에도 하락 출발해 전혀 크리스마스 분위기를 내지 못했다.

1930년대 대공황 이후 최악의 12월을 보내고 있는 미국 증시는 이날도 다우존스와 S&P 500, 나스닥 등 주요 지수가 모두 하락세로 거래를 시작했다.

특히 스티븐 무누신 재무장관이 6개 주요 은행 최고경영자(CEO)들에게 투자자들의 우려에 대해 강조했다는 소식에 은행주들이 큰 폭으로 하락했다.

다우존스 산업평균 지수는 0.6% 떨어진 2만2304로 거래를 시작했고 S&P 500 지수는 0.5% 하락한 2404로 장을 출발했다. 나스닥 지수 역시 전날 종가보다 0.3% 낮은 6309로 출발했다.

10년 만기 재무부 채권 금리는 2.77%로 떨어져 채권 가격은 상승했다.
